Personal Day

The perpetual rain plummets downward
Pelting the siding and the pains of glass
We don't mind because we stay inside
All day and night just touching each other
Sipping wine, turning the sheets less white
It's like white noise in the background
Rolls of distant thunder, lightning flickers
We look into each others eyes and hope
The weather never stops and never clears
A thinly veiled excuse to stay here forever

End
