Quick Reviews for my Favorite Summer Movies

No worries, these micro reviews are sans spoilers. :)

Avengers
An epic adventure about the creation and bonding of the incredible Avengers team. The one liners are as punchy and memorable as the brawls and battles. A wild, witty, action packed roller coaster that you can't wait to ride again and again.

Dark Shadows
A delightfully violent and darkly humorous reclaiming of the vampire mythology. Clever, entertaining, and satisfying.

Prometheus
A must see. The perfect blend of everything that I love about science fiction and horror. A breathtaking adventure into a new universe. Imaginative, innovative, and haunting. There's nothing else like it. My new favorite movie.

the Dark Knight Rises
Compelling and terrifying. A war movie between an unstoppable force and an immovable object. Thrilling and unforgettable. The best end to an amazing trilogy. Fulfilling in every way.

Oceana

It's an endless cycle
Years away from the shore
The endless tides

With waves which rise and fall
And my mind is a whore
Selling itself to each new lie

A Reichenbach fall
Without the return

Not so bleak as pain or death
It's more subtle
The crests and valleys

I close my eyes and see
For all the complications
The tides and currents
Form a perfect circle

Aside from the distractions
My life is an endless cycle

TMI, tRM&O 2013

Tonight, I find myself sitting half naked on the couch, watching Star Trek episode 1, waiting for a pot roast to finish er, roasting. TMI, I know, but I've realized that it's July already and I'm not anywhere near where I'd like to be on my book, the Rotting Man & Others. Unfortunately, I need much more time to ponder, write, and rewrite the stories I am planning on including. So, for now, I will postpone the release date until Halloween, 2013. That year seems more fitting anyway. I hope I haven't disappointed the all none of you who read this blog... but I just can't rush this. I want it to be epic and truly terrifying.
By the way, Star Trek used to be really f*cked up. It's awesome.

Kirk out.

ps. im sure someone out there is going to say... hey stupid, episode one on netflix is "the cage" which features Captain Pike, not Kirk, blah blah blah... it's still a wierd f*king show and i still love it...
