Two of a Kind

Halloween's a Comin'

Oranges and Lemons

Kill a’ me please
Kill a’ me please
The Chopper Man is
Makin’ me sneeze
Droplets a’ blood
Droplets a’ blood
He smiles an’ takes
One more bite ou’ a’ me
Oranges and Lemons
At the Bells a’ St. Clemen’s
I wish that I could die
He whispers, o’ hush now
O’ hush now and see
Your feather bed is warm
But not half as warm
Or as sweetly forlorn
As you beggin’ for death from me

Rachel

Rachel drank a cup of blood
And now she walks the streets
Three months dead
Her dress blood red
She feeds on her victims with glee

end

"Vous êtes tout pour moi."

Même quand l'obscurité se referme, vous êtes là.
Quand mes cauchemars deviennent réalité, vous êtes là.
Mes os se briser, mes dents tombent, vous y êtes.
Les monsteres sous mon lit que vous êtes là.
Quand les larmes ne viennent pas, vous y êtes.
Vous êtes tout pour moi, et je suis à toi.

The Beauty of Google Translator is that I can now write in French. :)
If anyone who actually speaks French would like to help me better translate my poem, please stand up!

Humankind

An excerpt from my Facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/nonpartysystem

The economy of our planet revolves around warfare.

Cannot the great Human Race divine a better use for our infinite global potential?

How quickly would hunger, disease, and suffering be erased if we redirected our resources?
Then, what of our impending energy crisis? Climate change?
Are these not minor obstacles compared to our united intelligence and spirit?

Philosophy? Space exploration? Have we no higher intentions than endless murder and famine?

Share with me a vision of a truly human global utopia, not a perfect, numb, pointless existence... but one where we all pull together, to find solutions and to broaden our horizons.

Cannot both evolutionists and intelligent design theorists agree on this one thing? Cannot all religions? Political parties? Races, genders, and ethnic groups agree?

Long Live the Universal Human Revolution!

"My Because"

I am made to reach and change the world around me through written and spoken word, and to teach others how to do the same.

Some Quotes from one of my Favorite Persons in the Whole World, even though I have Never Met Him

This is who I want to be when I grow up...

“Being a writer is a very peculiar sort of a job: it's always you versus a blank sheet of paper (or a blank screen) and quite often the blank piece of paper wins.”

“When I was a child, adults would tell me not to make things up, warning me of what would happen if I did. As far as I can tell so far, it seems to involve lots of foreign travel and not having to get up too early in the morning.”

“Stories you read when you're the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you'll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit.”

“You're always you, and that don't change, and you're always changing, and there's nothing you can do about it.”

Shooter

I've been drinking and the cold metal of my colt 45 feels good in my hands. It's police issue, that's what the guy at the pawnshop said, and that's cool. I wear a long trench coat, and that is cool too. Tonight, I'm going to kill people.

They’re going to ask why.

You could say its because my dad was an alcoholic deadbeat who abused me. Or that it's because my mom is a prostitute. but neither of these things are true. They’re just normal middle class people, just like me. I get good grades. I even have a couple of friends. We’re not too close, but we hang out sometimes.

No, tonight there is no reason. I'm cold inside, so my hands don't sweat. I can feel the gnawing darkness eating away at me. I just need to feel... cool. And seeing the blood, hearing the screams, seeing my face on the news.

That’s enough for me.

“There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations - these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit - immortal horrors or everlasting splendors. This does not mean that we are to be perpetually solemn. We must play. But our merriment must be of that kind (and it is, in fact, the merriest kind) which exists between people who have, from the outset, taken each other seriously - no flippancy, no superiority, no presumption.” - C.S. Lewis

Stress Management

A hot bath.
Steam, candles.
I feel the stress melt away...
Then ice cream and Bailey's.
A little tv.
Maybe some sex.
Then sleep.

I'd like to see them take away this peace.

Right now, I feel good.

A Mouthful of a Project

.
.
.

Listening to Freelance Whales, sipping cold espresso.

I've been fighting a lingering headache today, brought on by a triple threat of stress, dehydration, and HALO.

I'm working on creating the inkWELL, a project which I tried once before to get off the ground, that ended up falling apart for a myriad of reasons.
Mostly, I lay the blame at the feet of lack a of preparation on my part, and busy summer schedules.

This time, however, I'm going into it with both guns blazing. I'm trying to do all the footwork that this thing needs to succeed: but I have miles to go. I have high expectations, and a vision of great things to come. I will, however, require a lot of participation from other members, probably several sponsors, and a company willing to help me publish a small booklet of short stories and poetry... bimonthly.

I hope to turn this into something full of vitality, both creative and meaningful.

I fear that the vision is already slipping. Self doubt pecks at my brain stem, and I worry that I've bitten off more than I can chew.

I guess only time will tell.
